Gertge Technology, LLC, an information technology company headquartered in Brush, last week announced the opening of a full-service office in downtown Sterling.

The company views the establishment of its second location as “a significant step in the company’s growth and deeping commitment to northeast Colorado,” the announcement shared by the Logan County Economic Development Corporation states.

Gertge Technology was founded in January 2011 by Toby Gertge and offers a range of services, including managed IT services, cloud-hosing, Voice over IP (VoIP) solutions, cybersecurity, access-control/camera systems, computer repairs and sales. They also provide technology services for businesses across a range of industries.

According to the release, the company’s expansion into Sterling follows Toby Gertge’s long-standing personal and professional ties to the community and surrounding region.

“He sees the downtown area as primed for new investment and innovation,” the release states. “In support of this belief, Toby has personally purchased a building on Main Street in Sterling that will house the new office, signaling a long-term commitment to the community and supporting the revitalization of the downtown area.”

The release notes that the building also will have office space rental available.

“Returning to Sterling isn’t just a business move — it’s home,” Gertge said. “My roots are in northeast Colorado, and I wanted to give back while growing the business. This expansion allows us to serve our clients better, hire locally, and anchor our presence in Sterling’s vibrant downtown.”

The company plans to add one to two full-time positions for the Sterling office to provide “the same high standards of service and expertise that built the Brush headquarters.”

The Sterling team will offer:

• Managed IT services and business-grade help-desk support

• Cloud-hosting and remote-work enablement solutions

• Cybersecurity, endpoint protection, and data-disaster recovery

• VoIP and unified communications

• On-site and remote computer repairs, upgrades, and network hardware deployment

• Access-control and commercial camera systems

The expansion is also a reflection of Gertge Technology’s long-term strategy: invest locally, hire locally, and grow in a way that benefits both the company and the community, the release states.

“The downtown Sterling location will enhance accessibility for clients, deepen ties with Logan County business organizations (such as the Logan County Economic Development Corporation), and position Gertge Technology to take advantage of growth opportunities in the region’s small- and mid-sized business community,” the release reads.
